ESPN REPORT: Seattle Seahawks ‘Got to Get Ready’ for Tennessee Titans QB Suspension But…

The Tennessee Titans, who the Seattle Seahawks play, have an intriguing quarterback issue, and Pete Carroll faces a similar conundrum with Drew Lock and Geno Smith.

When the Seattle Seahawks visit the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, they’ll be hoping to build on their 20-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. With a valiant victory, the Seahawks saved their season, but they now have to build on it against a squad that is already out of playoff contention.

However, with the uncertainty surrounding the Titans’ quarterback situation right now, that may be easier said than done. Will Levis, a rookie, has missed several practices due to an ankle injury he acquired last week. Titans coach Mike Vrabel stated after his Friday practice that he will be dubious.

In the event that Levis is unable to play on Sunday, experienced quarterback Ryan Tannehill will take over. Pete Carroll, the coach of the Seattle Seahawks, stated that his team will be prepared for either quarterback despite having little time to prepare for only one.

Will Levis has appeared, Carroll said. He’s truly displayed a lot of positive traits; he’s a good thrower and an aggressive player. He is rugged, quick, and speedy. I can see their excitement in developing alongside him and watching him improve because he’s handling the system and all that. For a very long time, Ryan Tannehill has been a competent football player. With him, they were getting along rather well until he was hurt.

“Will arrived and ignited them with four touchdown passes straight out of the chutes, so he’s been down for a while. They gave Levis an opportunity to play, but Ryan returns and is a capable, well-established quarterback who can lead this offense. We must prepare for anything that is ahead.

Therefore, much like the Seahawks defense led by Clint Hurtt is uncertain about their specific quarterback matchup, the Titans defensive coordinator Shane Bowen may also be in the dark.

“Day-to-day,” Carroll remarked. He must get through today, assess his condition tomorrow, and proceed in the same manner as everyone else who is returning. However, we have a lot of confidence that he will be well and we won’t put him through too much during the week. He should feel ready to go just based on the increasing workload, the support of his trainers, and everyone else.

The Seahawks will probably need to win out and hope that the Los Angeles Rams falter because they are outsiders looking in at the playoffs.

Regardless matter the opposing quarterback, Seattle must focus on its own game and take care of Tennessee in order to secure a postseason position. However, the journey to that destination begins with a single step against the Titans.
