Bruce Bochy and the Texas Rangers are back in the postseason. When he was away, he missed it.
Texas’s Arlington (AP) The last three Octobers, Bruce Bochy was at home enjoying some fishing and tee ball hitting following his retirement from a 25-year managerial career that included three World Series titles.
Even though everything there was fun and soothing, he was starting to miss his favorite place to be at this time of year.
After a brief retirement, Bochy is back in the dugout for the postseason in his first season with the Texas Rangers, whose general manager is one of his former pitchers.
The 68-year-old Bochy, who is attending his first American League Championship Series, declared, “I’m having the time of my life.”
