Despite a difficult start to the season, the San Francisco Giants are only two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for the top spot in the National League West. The Giants’ offensive performance this season has been mediocre at best. They’re in almost every significant hitting category, sitting around league average. That have to get better if they want to be the squad they want to be. When you take into account a few of their best players’ sluggish beginnings, it appears likely that the script will be flipped on that side of the ball.
