Newcastle United Captain Jamaal Lascelles Is Suspended Indefinitely for Violating the Club’s Code of Conduct
Newcastle upon Tyne, 7 May 2025 — Newcastle United Football Club has announced that club captain Jamaal Lascelles has been suspended indefinitely after a breach of the team’s internal code of conduct. The decision comes following an internal investigation into an off-field incident that allegedly took place over the weekend.
In a statement released Tuesday morning, the club confirmed that Lascelles will be removed from all first-team duties pending further review.
