Copa America 2024 Exit & Coaching Change
The United States men’s team, as hosts of the 2024 Copa America, were eliminated in the group stage after a 1-0 defeat to Uruguay, finishing third in Group C. Following this early exit, head coach Gregg Berhalter was dismissed. In September 2024, former Tottenham and Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as the new head coach.
Concacaf Nations League Performance
In March 2025, the USA participated in the Concacaf Nations League. They lost 1-0 to Panama in the semi-finals and were defeated 2-1 by Canada in the third-place match.
Upcoming Tournaments
The USA is set to compete in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, where they are placed in Group D alongside Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and Saudi Arabia.
