Surprising statistic now emerges about Morgan Gibbs-White’s set piece taking.

About Morgan Gibbs-White, the playmaker for Nottingham Forest, an unexpected statistic has surfaced. The 23-year-old played admirably in the Reds’ weekend draw with Luton Town.

Gibbs-White contributed to each of Forest’s two goals. Anthony Elanga provided two assists and Chris Wood scored twice thanks to some excellent work from the under-21 European Championship winner.

The gifted athlete joined Forest in the summer of 2022 after leaving Wolves. He came with a club record price tag, and add-ons could push the total cost to over £40 million.

Everyone can see that Gibbs-White is a very talented player, but some have voiced concerns about his ability to take set pieces. However, some FBref statistics suggest that the notion is largely mythical.

They demonstrate that 16 of the shots have been made after Gibbs-White’s dead-ball attempts. In that regard, the Forest player is tied for first place on the charts with Mathias Jensen, James Ward-Prowse, and Alfie Doughty.

Fans of the Forest may find this Gibbs-White statistic confusing. His set pieces are a common point of criticism, but it seems like Steve Cooper is doing the right thing by keeping him focused on them.

The criticism of Gibbs-White by certain Forest supporters seems a little odd.

Gibbs-White is the hardest worker on the Forest team. He never stops trying to make things right and steer the team in the right direction, even when things don’t go as planned.
