Both Dack and Aouchiche were left off of the Black Cats roster at King Power Stadium due to injuries to their hamstrings and groyne, respectively.
Whether they can bounce back in time for Saturday’s home match against Norwich City is still up in the air.

Mowbray declared: “Adil has a groyne injury. Dack has a hamstring injury.

“That’s the situation, they’re not with us, and it goes without saying that if they’re hurt, they’re not fit to play.”

Prior to kickoff at the King Power, Dan Ballard was considered seriously injured, but the Northern Ireland international was cleared to play.
“After the last game, Dan didn’t train at all, and we didn’t think he was going to play on Monday,” Mowbray stated.

“He claimed to be a little sore, but he played flawlessly and carried himself like a warrior. You wish for that.
