Sio Siua Taukeiaho’s future is uncertain as the NRL comeback fails due to unsatisfactory medical

NRL contract news: Sio Siua Taukeiaho released by Catalans, reportedly set to sign with Canterbury Bulldogs | Sporting News Australia

It was anticipated that the Canterbury Bulldogs prop for the Catalans Dragons would rejoin the NRL the following season.

After failing a medical, Sio Siua Taukeiaho’s NRL comeback has been postponed. For a number of months, the Canterbury Bulldogs have been eager to welcome back the Catalans Dragons prop to the Australian competition.

However, the 31-year-old missed the entire preseason and the first few games of the season due to a foot injury that was discovered by the club during a medical examination he had after returning to Australia, as reported by the Daily Telegraph. The procedure will be necessary.

Canterbury withdrew from the agreement as a result, leaving Taukeiaho with an uncertain future. Taukeiaho is still under contract with the Grand Finalists of the previous season for the 2024 campaign, and the Catalans have not yet released him.
