Colts Promote Vet Running Back, Place Other On Injured List
In preparation for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, the Indianapolis Colts have activated one player from the practice squad and placed another on the injured list.
A day before the Indianapolis Colts take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lucas Oil Stadium, they are assembling their starting lineup.
Running back Tyler Goodson was added to the active roster on Friday in preparation for Sunday’s game; however, he will return to the practice squad following the game. Derek Rivers, a seasoned defensive end, has been added to the Practice Squad Injured List by the Colts.
Goodson, who stands 5’9″ and weighs 197 pounds, is 23 years old, and has been called up for the Colts’ last two games as running back Jonathan Taylor recovers from a thumb procedure. During his nine offensive snaps on the field, Goodson caught all three of his pass targets for nine yards (3.0 avg.).
The Colts can only designate Goodson as a gameday practice squad elevation one more time this season.
