Tyler Baron Finds New College Home

Tennessee Football: Tyler Baron enters transfer portal - Rocky Top Talk

Former Tennessee Volunteers defensive end Tyler Baron committed to the Ole Miss Rebels on Friday.

Originally anticipated to explore his options in the NFL Draft, Tyler Baron chose to stay in school and apply through the transfer portal after hearing comments. The former Vol was one of Rocky Top’s most reliable defenders this season and had a successful career there.

Baron has decided to remain in the SEC. He revealed on Friday that he will play for the Ole Miss Rebels in his final year of eligibility. During his week-long visit, Lane Kiffin’s program gained a lot of traction with the gifted defensive lineman.

Football in Tennessee is almost done with the offseason. After finishing the regular season, the Vols are concentrating on building their roster for the 2023 campaign. With all of the most recent NFL Draft announcements and portal entries, Volunteer Country has the fans covered. The portal window is open from January 2 to December 4. Players will have to wait until May after spring practice to access the transfer portal if they do not transfer during that window.
