Bengals’ Place On Injured Reserve are DJ Reader and DJ Ivey.
Cincinnati — Both rookie cornerback DJ Ivey and defensive tackle DJ Reader suffered tough knee injuries against Minnesota, so the Bengals placed both players on injured reserve on Monday.
Both Reader’s and Ivey’s injuries—a torn ACL—will end the season. According to Ian Rapoport, Reader had a ruptured quadriceps tendon.
Josh Tupou and Zach Carter will have to step in for Reader for Cincinnati while Ivey’s effective special teams play will require replacement on the coverage units.
The Bengals now have two open roster spots to use ahead of the Steelers matchup.
