Updates on J.J. McCarthy’s injuries ahead of Rose Bowl.

J.J. McCarthy, the quarterback for Michigan, has thrown for 2,630 yards and 19 touchdowns this season with just four interceptions. McCarthy, however, suffered an ankle injury on November 11 against Penn State and only attempted eight passes during Michigan’s 24–15 victory. In the next three games, McCarthy passed for 141, 148, and 147 yards. Prior to his Penn State injury, McCarthy had seven games with 200 yards of passing.

Time is a healer of wounds, and McCarthy appears to be experiencing that. He has had a month to regain his full strength before the Rose Bowl matchup with Alabama.

McCarthy answered, “100%. I’d say 110 percent.”
