Bloomington, Indiana: Liam McNeeley’s decommitment from Indiana on March 7 seemed to signal the end of the basketball program. The most recent humiliation was losing a five-star recruit who was perhaps the best 3-point shooter in high school basketball and was now bound for UConn. For the first time in head coach Mike Woodson’s three seasons, Indiana, which was 17-13 at the time, would miss out on the NCAA Tournament. The Hoosiers had no new recruits and were ranked in the top 100 on the majority of computer rankings.
