Although Michael Carrick claims there is “no drama” surrounding his contract and signing an extension, he says he loves his role as head coach of Middlesbrough and is still driven to succeed for the team.

When Carrick joined the team in October 2022, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract; therefore, his current agreement will expire at the conclusion of the following season. Nonetheless, Teesside Live is aware that Carrick and club officials have had fruitful discussions, and that an agreement to extend his contract is imminent.

Even though Boro hasn’t had the season they would have liked, their campaign has been greatly impacted by unintentional factors like injuries. There’s still a lot of internal faith in Carrick and a need for stability and continuity.
