Seattle (AP) — With a short week and a tough division rival, the Seattle Seahawks could not afford to be careless, inefficient, or have a slow start.

That was precisely what occurred for the first thirty minutes of the 49ers’ 31-13 loss to San Francisco on Thursday night, which once again highlighted the gap that still exists between them and the other teams in the NFC West.

Pete Carroll, the coach of the Seahawks, stated, “We couldn’t get out of our own way enough in the first half of this game.”
