In March 2021, Indiana hired Woodson to take Archie Miller’s place. His overall record is 60-39, with two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Though Jalen Hood-Schifino and Trayce Jackson-Davis, two NBA draft picks, were lost, there was still a lot of hope going into this season. In addition to signing McDonald’s All-American Mackenzie Mgbako and adding former 5-star recruit Kel’el Ware as a transfer from Oregon, Indiana brought back key players in Xavier Johnson, Malik Reneau, and Trey Galloway. It isn’t anticipated to make the postseason, though, unless it has a strong showing in the Big Ten Tournament.
