When I first joined the league, it was a little troubled, but over my time with the club, it began to grow out of that and gradually transformed into what it is today.
“I had to learn how to deal with big personalities while being viewed as just a little guy from New Zealand, so being captain was a huge learning curve for me in terms of leadership. It was crucial that I picked things up quickly in order to lead the team to success and support everyone’s personalities.”
