Ohio State Football: MVP contender C.J. Stroud.

The achievements that C.J. Stroud has made in the NFL thus far should make the Ohio State football programme extremely proud.

Ohio State’s football programme is still going strong even though C.J. Stroud, the former quarterback, is excelling at the next level. Yesterday, Stroud continued to play brilliantly as the Cincinnati Bengals, led by Joe Burrow, were upset 30-27.

At the end of the game, Stroud completed 23 passes out of 39 attempts for 356 yards and a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown on a run. This follows last weekend’s NFL record-breaking 470-yard touchdown pass in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Given his incredible play, Stroud is deserving of being named a candidate for the NFL MVP award.

Stroud, the second-overall pick in the 2023 draught, has thrown for 2,626 yards with 15 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Most importantly, he has transformed a struggling team with little offensive skill into a winning one. If the season ended today, the Houston Texans would be in the postseason right now.

With 2,626 passing yards, Stroud is ranked second in the NFL. Greater than players like Tua Tagovailoa, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Patrick Mahomes. They’re all regarded as strong contenders for the MVP title.

The NFL success of C.J. Stroud must be wonderful news for Ohio State football coach Ryan Day and his team. The inability of Justin Fields and Dwayne Haskins to succeed led to the designation of Buckeye quarterbacks as system players. However, Stroud has altered the narrative, which must be very beneficial for Day and quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis when they are recruiting.

Next: Sherman Moore must be joking, don’t you think?

C.J. will have undoubtedly put himself right in the thick of the MVP race if Stroud keeps playing at this calibre through the end of November and into December and the Texans keep winning. Furthermore, that is unheard of for a novice player.
